Crypto payment gateways: from customer payment to business funds

If customers want to pay in Bitcoin or stablecoins, displaying a wallet address is only the beginning. You need to match the payment to an order, confirm the amount and know when the proceeds become available to your business.

BitcoinLink reviews payment gateways from the merchant’s perspective: shops, online services and businesses sending invoices. Start with how your customers pay and the currency you want to receive.

Three decisions before signing up

Will you use invoices, an e-commerce plugin or an API? Will you keep the crypto or convert the proceeds? Are your business and customers eligible? International coverage does not mean every country or business activity is accepted.

Look beyond the processing rate. Manual conversions, refunds and withdrawals can have different costs. Network fees paid by customers can also affect small purchases.

Our first review: CoinGate

CoinGate offers checkout, invoicing, plugins and an API, alongside settlement options. Our review examines the standard fees, merchant verification and the payment cases to test before launch.

Use the current list of supported assets and networks. Old plugin pages and reviews can retain currencies that are no longer available.

Keep payment options for customers who do not use crypto. Plan for incomplete payments, expired invoices and refunds; blockchain payments do not remove your obligations to buyers.

Read our CoinGate review to prepare a business account and test the payment journey before going live.
